What makes Songworks different from other choirs?
Have you always wanted to sing but never dared?
Are you a confident singer but can’t read music?
Would you like to be in a choir that is first and foremost about fun and enjoyment?
Are you interested in the health benefits of singing?
…then Songworks Choir could be for you.
In our sessions the joy of singing together takes priority over the perfect sound. That said – prepare to be surprised at how amazing we can sound!
You don’t need to be able to read music as everything is taught by ear. Our community is warm, welcoming and inclusive.
Who can join?
Absolutely anyone who has a passion for singing is welcome.
All ages and abilities, from seasoned singers to “non singers”, from the confident to the terrified.
But I can’t sing!
Singing is our birthright. As the African Proverb goes “If you can talk, you can sing”. The beauty of singing with others is that all voices somehow blend in together, there is safety in numbers and you can even hide a bit for a while until you feel a bit more confident.
We don’t take ourselves too seriously and have a lot of fun.
